Mommy Makeover

Get your body back!

What is a
Mommy Makeover?

Becoming a mom can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. But there is no question that pregnancy and childbirth take a heavy toll on the body. While some badges of honor are proudly displayed, a few lasting effects of pregnancy and childbirth may not be mementos you want to keep.

If you’ve gone as far as you can with diet and exercise to get your body back, but there are just a few stubborn areas that won’t cooperate, you may be an ideal candidate for a mommy makeover.

What’s Included in a
Mommy Makeover?

We offer a number of surgical and non-surgical procedures to reverse the physical changes to your body after pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and countless sleepless nights. Each mommy makeover is unique, tailored to your specific needs and goals. Take a look, and let us help you put together a mommy makeover just for you.

Tummy Tuck

This is by far the most common mommy makeover procedure. Sometimes, no matter what you do, you just can’t lose the layer of fat you gained during pregnancy. In addition, it is not uncommon for the abdominal muscles to separate and be damaged during pregnancy, something that can’t be repaired with any amount of diet or exercise. Pregnancy can also stretch the abdominal skin to the point where it can’t spring back to its original state on its own. A tummy tuck can address all these issues, and help you regain the smooth, flat belly you had before pregnancy.

Liposuction

It is completely natural—and sometimes recommended—to gain at least some weight during pregnancy. Although some of that weight is normally lost postpartum, many women find that a few stubborn pockets of fat remain. Liposuction can slim down those areas, including the abdomen, thighs and hips. It can also be combined with a tummy tuck.

Breast Augmentation

Pregnancy, and breastfeeding can cause your breasts to enlarge. However, this is often a temporary condition. After childbirth and breastfeeding, your breasts may “deflate,” possibly even losing some of the volume they had before you got pregnant. Breast augmentation can give you back your perky, round, firm breasts. You can choose between having silicone implants, or a fat transfer, which offers a more natural look and feel.

Breast Lift

Perhaps you kept a good amount of volume in your breasts after childbirth and breastfeeding, but your skin stretched, which makes your breasts appear “saggy.” A breast lift can restore your figure and give you a perky appearance, and can also be performed simultaneously with either breast augmentation or breast liposuction, if needed.

Breast Liposuction

While some women lose that extra volume in their breasts after giving birth, some women may find that they gain a bit of fat in the most inconvenient spots, such as the breast tail, which is the area just above the breast and alongside the underarm.

This accumulation of fat can cause an unsightly bump (or two) when pressed by a bra strap, and may even cause discomfort during certain activities such as weightlifting or yoga. We can perform breast liposuction, and help you get even those stubborn spots back to the way they were before.

Vaginoplasty and Labiaplasty

Aside from the outwardly visible after-effects of pregnancy, you may experience some changes that are only visible to you and your partner, but are no less important. Childbirth can wreak havoc on the most intimate areas of your body, forever changing the way you experience sexual gratification. Vaginoplasty and labiaplasty can address some of those concerns.

Vaginoplasty

If you gave birth vaginally, you may have experienced some loosening of the vaginal canal. This can have a detrimental effect on your sex life. Vaginoplasty is a non-surgical, outpatient procedure that tightens the vaginal canal by reducing its diameter. It doesn’t interfere with giving birth again, and if that happens, the procedure can be repeated.

Labiaplasty

Whether a result of pregnancy and childbirth, or simply your natural anatomy, you may be one of the many women who have uneven or overly large labia. Hyperpigmentation of the labia is also common. If you’re unhappy with the way your labia look and feel, labiaplasty can give you a more streamlined look and help you feel more confident about your body.

We offer a wide variety of plastic surgery procedures and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. We can help you create a customized mommy makeover that addresses your specific concerns, and helps you achieve the results you’re looking for. Schedule a consultation today, and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

We offer a variety of laser skin resurfacing treatments that can help address several after-effects of pregnancy. Laser treatments can be ideal for:

  • Removing or minimizing stretch marks
  • Removing or minimizing chloasma, also called the “mask of pregnancy”
  • Rejuvenating and plumping the skin on the face and other areas of the body

We also highly recommend the SilkPeel® microdermabrasion treatment for new mothers—or anyone who wants soft, smooth, luminous skin!
