What is
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is produced from an individual’s own blood. Plasma contains high concentration of platelets, stem cells and growth factors. Platelets help your tissue heal and grow new cells.

PRP therapy has been used successfully for decades in sport medicine, reconstructive surgery, dentistry, and orthopedic medicine to help speed recovery. In recent years, PRP has been used on the face or body as an skin rejuvenation therapy to improve the
appearance of the skin.

PRP is also beneficial as a hair restoration therapy, as the growth factors in the PRP will naturally stimulate hair growth.

PRP Skin Therapy
Best Candidates

The ideal PRP candidates are men and women between the ages of 18 – 65 who are in good health and with no severe skin conditions. PRP is perfect for patients who are looking to target uneven and to skin rejuvenate the skin. It is best for those with mild to moderate signs of aging.

How is PRP Facial Therapy
Performed?

To prepare the PRP, a small amount of blood, about 10ml, is drawn from the patient's arm by a nurse. The blood collection tube is then put into a centrifuge, which spins the tube for 10 minutes to separate the PRP from the red blood cells.

To prepare the skin for PRP Therapy, a topical anesthetic cream is applied to ensure the treatment is comfortable for the patient. Once the skin is ready for the PRP treatment, it is cleansed throughly to ensure the skin is completely bare. The PRP will then be applied directly on the patient's skin. Using a micro-needling pen, our medical technician will pass the device over the skin, creating tiny wounds. This process will help the PRP penetrate into the skin and further stimulate the natural healing process and creation of collagen.
