Q-Med Esthetics
The products in Q-Med Esthetics, Restylane®, Restylane® Fine Lines, and Perlane®, have a long record of success in over 40 countries around the world. The product used in a target area depends on the intensity of the problem, and follows the Tissue Tailored Concept.
Q-Med Esthetics is the only company in the world that offers Non-Animal, Stabilized, Hyaluronic Acid, the first stable, biodegradable, non-animal hyaluronic acid available. Hyaluronic acid is present and identical in all species and tissue types, acting to bind water in the skin. It is essential to lift the skin and maintain firmness. Produced in a patented process under carefully controlled conditions, there is absolutely no possibility of allergic reaction or disease transmission. NASHA produces natural results that last several months. Injected gel particles are absorbed slowly, integrating with adjacent tissues to allow the free passage of vital nutritive elements like oxygen and hormones to pass between fragments of the gel. Water replaces the gel as it breaks down, and more binding occurs when the gel becomes less concentrated. Eventually, the gel will disappear completely, unnoticed.
Sessions normally take less than 30 minutes, and no pre-testing is required. For treatment to the lips, a local anaesthetic is used.
Please note that after treatment, some common injection-related reactions may occur. In very rare cases, about 1 in 2000 treated patients have experienced localized reactions such as swelling at the implant site, sometimes affecting the surrounding tissues, redness, tenderness and acne-like formations believed to be from hypersensitivity.
Like other injectable fillers, the results of a Q-Med Esthetics treatment are not permanent. But since results are not permanent, the next treatment can target a different area or even result in a different look. The Q-Med Esthetics program offers complete flexibility to accommodate to the changing concepts of beauty in society. For follow up treatments, most patients choose to schedule one six to twelve months after an initial treatment, while lip treatments require 6 months.
