Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ Toronto

At Toronto Cosmetic Clinic, experience the rejuvenating effects of a Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ treatment. Your procedure will be performed by a cosmetic surgeon specializing in dermatology.

How a Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ Works

A Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ works by gently ablating the upper layers of the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin), typically to about 20-50 microns deep into the skin. The face is most commonly treated, however other areas of the body can be treated as well. This allows for the targeted imperfections to disappear or become visibly reduced, more than a lighter peel would be able to do.

A Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ is an epidermal peel that is perfect to achieve smoother and tighter skin anywhere on the body. It can target those wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation problems that cannot be treated by lighter peels, such as microdermabrasion. Following a procedure, patients can expect a relatively short healing time in comparison to other cosmetic treatments designed to remove visible flaws of the skin.

The Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ Procedure

The Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ procedure involves the application of a topical anesthetic to minimize and eliminate discomfort, about half an hour prior to actual exposure. A laser is then used to remove the undesired, as determined during the consultation process. The length of a procedure depends on the amount of correction required, but generally takes far less time than other cosmetic treatments.

It is typical that a series of procedures is required to achieve the desired results, with the results of each treatment lasting several months until the next. You and your medical aesthetician at Toronto Cosmetic Clinic will determine what is most suitable for you.

Like any cosmetic procedure that utilizes lasers, following the Contour ™ MicroLaserPeel™ procedure your skin will most likely be sensitive to light. It is vital that it be protected from sun exposure until the resulting redness diminishes, typically within a couple of days. Slight discomfort may occur for the first two to four days following treatment, but will most likely not require a pain reliever as it will be mild. The sensation is similar to a sunburn.

While you recover, no dressing is required however an ointment will be applied to the treated area to facilitate the growth of new and fresh skin cells.
