Toronto, Ontario December 4, 2006 -- A new method of liposuction has been introduced by a leading cosmetic surgical centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Toronto Cosmetic Clinic announced that the new method, known as laser assisted liposuction, will be offered to clients who prefer a shorter liposuction procedure with less adverse side effects.
Low-level laser assisted liposuction was developed by Dr. Rodrigo Neira. A low level laser is used painlessly to liquefy fat in the area that is to receive liposuction treatment. Research has shown that doing this a few minutes before liposuction makes it easier and faster to remove undesirable fat, which in turn, reduces the amount of discomfort experienced by the patient.
After the procedure, patients sustain less pain, bruising, and swelling than other traditional forms of liposuction.
