Clothes that fit your body

Not everyone is blessed with the perfect measurements. Most of us have that one part of our body that we just can't tone on our own. It may be your butt that's too big, a stomach that isn't flat enough, or ankles that look more like cankles - whatever it is, it remains impervious to healthy diet and exercise and most importantly, prevents you from having the body contour you truly want. These problems may be effectively corrected with the cosmetic procedures we offer at Toronto Cosmetic Clinic, such as liposuction or UltraShape, but you can also try changing your clothing. The right fitting clothes won't actually change your body contour, but it can highlight the areas that you like and downplay those that you don't.

Small Bust

If your bustline is way too small for your liking and you're tired of stuffing your bra, but you don't want to go for breast augmentation (yet!), empire lines are great at giving the illusion of a fuller chest. Tops with higher necks are better than scoop and v-necks, and you can try wearing bolder designs and colours.

A Pot Belly

Fitted jackets that cinch at the waist, darker coloured tops and wraps all create the illusion of a leaner middle. You can also try wearing dresses with an empire waist, since it brings the eye up above the stomach.

As for pants, choose ones with a flat front (no pleats!) and aren't too snug around the waist, since you want to avoid that muffin-top effect.

The Butt

Got a big butt? It's a problem many women have. If you want to slim down your butt, go for stretchy tops and pants that provide partial (not full) coverage. Avoid pants with tapered legs at all costs! You want the opposite - something that slightly flares out, but not too much.

Cankles

Boots fitted around the ankles and reaching to the upper calf or knees are your best friend. Anything other than that, and you'll just be highlighting your cankles. You don't want anything that cuts into the calf.

Unless you're a cowgirl, you'll probably look strange if you're wearing boots in the summer. The most flattering footwear in warmer weather is wedges in a paler colour. Avoid darker colours, ankle straps and ankle socks.

And under no circumstances should you wear capri pants! Pants should be at a length that provides maximum coverage of the area. That goes for skirts and dresses as well.
