During the procedure, excess skin is removed in addition to any fat that makes the eyes appear puffy.

In the initial recovery period, cosmetic eye surgery can cause some soreness and discomfort. There may also be some swelling and bruising but within 10 to 14 days it usually goes away. You can take pain medication if you feel any post operative discomfort. Although you should take it easy following surgery, you will probably be able to resume your regular routine fairly quickly. Once you return to your usual activities, people around you will surely comment on your improved appearance. No one is likely to know that you had cosmetic eye surgery - unless you tell them. The dramatic improvement in your appearance will be notable. Most people who get cosmetic eye surgery look healthier, happier, and more youthful.
