| Getting Ready for Your Wedding: Tips for Brides
Getting married? We all know that it takes months to adequately prepare for the actual wedding. You've got to choose a dress, decide on a venue and caterer, order flowers, and so much more. But in the midst of all this planning, we hope you've also started to prepare something else for the big day: you.
You want to look your best, and that requires time (or not if you're beautiful as you are). It's important you set aside some personal time to address your concerns, like the following: 1. Skin. Nothing looks better than a flawless complexion that glows. If your skin is plagued by clogged pores, roughness or dullness, there are effective treatments. However, any treatment, whether it be laser skin resurfacing, laser acne treatment or routine facials, requires time for the optimal results to appear. In fact, immediately following many of such treatments, you'll find that your complexion won't look attractive at all, since redness, increased sensitivity and other side effects can result (don't worry, these are only temporary).
2. Hair. Your hairstyle can make or break your outfit. That's why it's imperative you find a stylist that can give you the look you want, is trustworthy and can deliver on promises.
And while we're on the subject of hair, don't forget about unwanted hair! Shaving may suffice but if you want longer term results, try laser hair removal. It's one of the more popular cosmetic procedures we offer for brides. Laser hair removal can deliver great results, but a number of sessions spaced over several months may be required.
3. Weight issues. A crash diet may be tempting, but it's a huge no-no if you want to look your best! It's unhealthy, bad for the skin (which you want to look good) and the weight won't stay off in the long run. Adjust your diet, improve your exercise regimen, and if you need some extra help, consider surgical or non-surgical fat reduction methods for those stubborn areas (you'll need to determine whether you're a candidate by speaking to a aesthetic medical patient consultant or medical professional).
4. Makeup. According to the pros, wedding makeup is a little different from what you'd wear on a daily basis. If you're not confident in your own abilities, consider consulting a professional makeup artist. You may also want to commit to some practice sessions before the big day, just so that you know what to expect and make adjustments.
5. Sleep. Stress levels may be peaking during all this planning and preparing, but try to get a healthy amount of sleep, and not just right before the big day. You don't want to look like you're all stressed out and have bags under your eyes. Easier said than done, right? |
