Treatment Areas for Injectable Fillers
Cosmetic treatment with injectable fillers, also known as dermal fillers, are designed to reduce or erase the signs of aging on the face and body by filling out creases and wrinkles to create a smooth contour. Volume may also be added to alter contours.
The popular injectable fillers available today, such as Juvederm® , Restylane® and Radiesse®, all achieve temporary results that can last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years (depending on the area, individual and filler product).
Wrinkles Across the Forehead
Spanning the width of the forehead are lines caused by aging, the simple movement of the face to express emotions and environmental damage. Forehead lines may also exist due to genetics and smoking.
Whether dynamic or non-dynamic, these permanent horizontal creases can be filled out so that the forehead reclaims a smoother and more youthful appearance.
Crow's Feet
It is a well known fact the skin around the eyes is considered to be thin and weak, which explains why repeated actions, such as smiling and squinting, can cause wrinkles to form at the outside edges of the eyes. The appearance of these wrinkles, known as crow's feet, may be minimized with injectable fillers.
Sagging Eyebrows
Injectable fillers offers a viable alternative to the brow lift, that is both nonsurgical and safe. Treatment can help raise a sagging brow, lifting it gently away from the eyes as it once was.
Cheeks, Jawline and Chin Area
Pockets of fat evenly distributed in the face and supple skin create a smooth facial contour. However, age causes fat pockets to disintegrate and the skin to lose its suppleness, leaving the face sunken and gaunt with lax skin drooping past the jawline. Injectable fillers can add volume to the cheeks and chin area to replace lost volume, eliminating jowls and sunken areas. They may also be used to correct marionette lines (creases that extend from the corners of the mouth downward toward the chin).
Nasolabial Folds
When you smile, creases form at the corners of the mouth, extending upward to the outer edges of the nose. Known as nasolabial folds, these deep creases can be quite prominent. Using a product such as Juvederm can fill out the fold, making it less pronounced without sacrificing the beauty of your natural smile.
Lips
Injectable fillers are an excellent way to boost the volume of the lips. Nonsurgical lip augmentation can reclaim volume lost due to aging, fill out vertical lines that run upwards toward the nose (aka smoker's wrinkles) and achieve a more aesthetically pleasing lip contour.
