Tell me more about Designer Laser Vaginoplasty®.

DLV® refers to a group of trademarked procedures that have been designed to improve the aesthetic appearance of the female genitalia. Patented laser techniques are used to alter the appearance of the vulvar structures including the labia majora, mons pubis, perineum, introitus and/or hymen.

DLV® includes Laser Reduction Labioplasty, Clitoral Hood Reduction, and Hymenoplasty. As a result, DLV® can do such things as modify the shape and size of the labia, restore the hymen, and alter the contour of the mons pubis.

Who is it for?

DLV® is designed for women unhappy with the appearance of their genital area and wish to improve it.

How is DLV® different from other forms of labioplasty, hymenoplasty, and clitoral hood reduction surgery?

DLV® uses unique laser techniques to reduce swelling and blood loss. As a result, recovery is shorter and the results appear faster when compared to other methods.

I'd like to get DLV®. How much does it cost?

DLV® starts from $4000. Financing is available.

Tell me more about the procedure.

Depending on the type of procedure, surgery generally takes about 90 minutes with the administration of anesthesia at the surgical centre of Toronto Cosmetic Clinic. Specific laser techniques are used to modify the appearance of the female genitalia, resulting in faster recovery and less scarring when compared to other forms of vaginal rejuvenation surgery. Swelling is also reduced. For example, Laser Reduction Labioplasty involves sculpting the labial minora with the laser to decrease their length or size and/or achieve symmetry.

How about the recovery process?

Full recovery following DLV® takes about 6 weeks, during which sexual activity in the area should be avoided. Discomfort may gradually become apparent within 24 hours of surgery and last in the days following surgery. However this can be alleviated with painkillers and cold packs as recommended by your physician. Most women can return to their job in a few days, although this depends on the nature of employment.

Follow your physician's postoperative care instructions to facilitate the healing process.

I'd like to undergo Designer Laser Vaginoplasty® and Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation®? Can I get it done at the same time?

Yes. DLV® may be combined with other cosmetic surgical procedures, such as breast augmentation and liposuction. For more information, please speak to your surgeon.

How long do the results last?

The results of Designer Laser Vaginoplasty® are permanent. They can be adversely affected by childbirth, trauma and aging.

What are the side effects and risks of DLV®?

DLV® does have side effects and risks, much like other surgical procedures. Risks, depending on the nature of surgery, include hemorrhage, infection, hematoma, and discolouration, as well as risks related to the administration of anesthesia. The chance of complications occurring is under 1%, making it extremely rare.

Increased and decreased sensation in the treated may also occur.
