Botox vs Juvederm

At Toronto Cosmetic Clinic, two of our most popular treatments are Juvéderm™ and BOTOX® Cosmetic. Both treatments involve injections to treat wrinkling and folds, however how they treat these problems is remarkably different.
Juvéderm™ is classified as an injectable filler, which means that a substance is injected into the targeted area to “fill out” the wrinkle. In this case, the substance is colourless hyaluronic acid. Juvéderm™ can also smooth out contours and add volume to the lips.
BOTOX® Cosmetic, on the other hand, is not an injectable filler. It corrects wrinkles and creases by relaxing the muscle that is causing the problem in the overlying skin.

I am interested in Juvederm injections to the smile line between my nose and mouth. Can you give me an approximation of the fee and what recovery time is required.
Thank you.

Hi Karen,
It really depends on the depth of your smile lines. One syringe of Juvederm is $550 and it may or may not be sufficient in correcting your problem. Typical side effects include swelling and bruising. These generally go away within a day or two, but again, it depends on the individual (you may want to avoid scheduling your appointment on the same day as a big event). If you’d like to find out more information, you can call 416-221-5554 to book a free consultation with our Injectable Fillers Specialist. You’ll have the consultation and can also schedule the actual procedure immediately afterwards.
