Dark Circles

Dark circles around the eyes are common, especially around this time of year when holiday parties and preparations keep us busy. Unfortunately, injectable fillers and other cosmetic surgical treatments can’t really help with raccoon eyes since what causes them is weakened and broken blood vessels visible through the thin skin in the area.

However, while getting enough rest and camouflaging them with a good concealer can help, you may also want to increase your dietary intake of Vitamins K and C. Vitamin K helps to strengthen the blood vessels to prevent them from rupturing and vitamin C is crucial for strong and healthy tissue. So load up your plate with those green leafy vegetables and citrus fruit. You can also check out Skin Tx’s Dark Circle Eye Treatment and VivierSkin™ Dark Circle Diminishing Eye Cream with Vitamin K, both available at Toronto Cosmetic Clinic.

    Hello,

I have dark cirles and have used all kinds of remedies including home
remedies, over the counter medicine and prescription creams to bleach the
area. What is the best available solution to this problem?

    Hi Sabiha,

    Thanks for your comment.

If you’d like to come by the clinic between Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30-6.30, you can visit our patient consultant to see if Skin Tx or VivierSkin eye products are suitable for you. You will need to have a complimentary consultation for these as they are medical products.

Also, as mentioned in the post, you may want to increase your Vitamin K intake to strengthen those blood vessels.
