World Congress on Liposuction Surgery and Advances in Cosmetic Surgery in the UAE
Dr. Yaz, the primary physician here at Toronto Cosmetic Clinic, was away last week attending the World Congress on Liposuction Surgery and Advances in Cosmetic Surgery in the UAE. The function, held by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), was devoted to the sharing of advanced techniques, expertise and practices in cosmetic surgery by world-class surgeons and physicians around the world.
The Congress coincided with the official opening of the AACS Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City.
If you haven’t heard about Healthcare City, it’s set to become one of the finest centres for healthcare, medical research and education in the world by 2010. A pretty lofty claim, but the government of Dubai has invested, and is investing, an incredible amount of time and resources to achieve this promise. Spread over four million square feet of space, facilities including hospitals, educational sites, research laboratories, and a number of other features will provide medical services to the area between Europe and Southeast Asia, an area often neglected.
The ACCS Hospital will provide a comprehensive array of services, both invasive and not, in the field of cosmetic surgery. Non invasive departments include one devoted to anti-aging and laser therapy while surgical units include the Cosmetic Surgery Department, Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Department and Hair Restoration Surgery Department.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Yaz frequently attends events and functions held by the organization to remain at the cusp of treatments designed for the aesthetic improvement of an individual.
