The Harsh Truth

Let’s be honest. If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Cosmetic surgery is no exception to the rule. From a simple Botox injection completed in 20 minutes to a complicated hemispherectomy completed in 12 hours, every medical procedure has its own set of risks and complications. It would be a mistake for anybody to think otherwise.

Whether it be elective or emergency and invasive or not, possible problems varying in extremeness exist for each medical procedure, and their chance of occurring also depends on the health, physiology and unique circumstances of each individual patient.

So, if a cosmetic surgeon tells you that there are absolutely no risks or complications to the procedure you’re interested in and doesn’t assess your health, no matter how minor the treatment, don’t believe a word they say. If they don’t tell you the truth, or worse, can’t tell you the truth because they don’t even know it, then you should probably get out of their office. Fast.

At TCC, our team of reliable and responsible cosmetic surgeons will tell you everything about the procedure in question, which includes not just the good stuff, but also the bad. That way, you can make a decision knowing that it is based on accurate information and give you a realistic expectation of the results.
