No Implants Allowed
Chinese censors are cleaning up the airwaves by banning a number of shows and ads considered to be “sexually explicit”. Not only are radio and t.v. shows being pulled, but the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) have also decided that birth control and breast implant ads are too racy as well and defy the “socialisty spirit” that they intend to implement.
But the banning of commercials for breast augmentation probably won’t reduce the number of women undergoing the procedure in the country. China has seen a jump in the number of women undergoing breast augmentation in recent years, and there’s nothing to indicate that the numbers will fall.
