Botox in the News
Botox® has been getting bad press lately. A recent report in the CBC said that there have been some cases of the wrinkle-reducer spreading to other parts of the body. Referred to as “distant toxin spread”, patients in the US only have had adverse reactions to injections.
The chances of this happening while treating wrinkles is extremely remote, since the amount injected is typically a smaller dose. Most importantly, however, is that Toronto Cosmetic Clinic and our Botox® specialist are both authorized to perform Botox® injections. Our Botox® Specialist is a medical professional with years of experience and training. Plus, we do not use a Botox® knockoff – we only use Botox® Cosmetic manufactured by Allergan.
An initial consultation by our Specialist is always performed to ensure it is suitable for you. Some health conditions may not make you suitable for this wrinkle treatment, however alternatives may be presented.
