US Botax
Heard about Botax? It’s the proposed 5% tax that patients will have to pay on top of the price of their elective cosmetic surgery procedures in the States, starting from January 2010. If the patients don’t pay, the doctors will have to cover it. Any reconstructive plastic surgical procedures are exempted.
Botax was introduced to the Senate last Wednesday, and needless to say, it’s caused an uproar.
The tax is part of a bill that will raise $5.8 billion over a decade to help with the $849 billion cost of overhauling the country’s health care system.
