Breast augmentation surgery is currently the number one form of cosmetic surgery. But the reasoning surrounding this statistic is unclear. Why do women want big boobs so bad? All these doctors with different degrees from high falootin’ schools have well reasoned theories: big boobs = richer men. We want to look like Barbie. Breasts represent maternity and the mother’s bond to her baby. Do you really think that’s why someone goes from an A cup to a DD? And finally, the gutsiest of all, says it like it is. Marjorie Jolles, from CalState Fullerton says because “looking good means looking good to men.”

I don’t think it’s that hard to figure out. Bigger breasts give a woman an increased sense of self-confidence. And that self-confidence comes from the fact that she thinks she is more attractive. Plus she wants to be more attractive in order to attract more men. It’s a very simple formula. Self-confidence can help in other areas as well. But when it comes to pure physical looks – it’s generally meant for one thing. And one thing only. Sexual attraction.
