Jane Fonda Got Her Face Done!

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

This may be old news for Jane Fonda fans…

In a recent post on her blog, the actress/fitness queen/activist admitted to getting some work done on her face. After years of vowing never to undergo cosmetic surgery again (after having something done back in 2000), Jane wrote this in her post:

Bob Evans complimented me on my new, short haircut and I said, “Thanks. I just had some ‘work’ done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes so I decided it would be good to get a new hair cut so people will think it’s my new hair.”

It’s been 2 weeks. I was in front of the camera all day yesterday and was photographed at Eve Ensler’s luncheon 9 days after the procedure so, obviously, it went well. I swore in 2000 I’d never have anything done again but this year I got tired of not looking like how I feel and I wanted a more refined chin line like I used to have so I changed my mind. I’m still a little swollen but not much and what pleases me is that I won’t looked pulled or weird…or tired all the time. And my crows feet are still alive and well. I wish I’d been brave enough to not do anything but, instead, I chose to be a somewhat more glamorous grandma.

So, that means she didn’t get anything done to the wrinkles at the outer corners of her eyes, but she did get an eyelift, chin lift and neck lift. In the photos on that entry, you can’t really tell the difference, yet, since there was still swelling. She was also wearing big sunglasses. We’re looking forward to seeing before and after photos once the swelling subsides!

Katie Couric’s View on Botox

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Okay, so Katie Couric isn’t really known for being a big celebrity or fashionista, but we thought we’d share this with you anyway.

Katie, journalist and anchor for CBS News, gave a nod to Botox in the March issue of Harpers Bazaar, saying, “I think if you want to do some tweaks here and there, there’s nothing wrong with that.” However, she continued to say that, “God has a wonderful way of making your eyes start to go as your face does,” implying that Botox to correct wrinkles from aging may not be necessary.

We wonder if she’s gotten anything done herself. Already in her mid 50s, Katie’s forehead looks pretty smooth, although her eyes do have telltale crinkles. Whatever she’s doing, it’s working – she and her thirtysomething boyfriend.seem pretty content with each other.

Kristin Chenoweth and Botox

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Television, film and Broadway actress Kristin Chenoweth uses Botox, but it’s not to keep her forehead smooth.

Rather, the blonde 41 year old soprano gets Botox injections to help her deal with migraines. While they’re still injected into her forehead, Ms. Chenoweth says that the amount administered is to ease the chronic and debilitating headaches she gets, saying that “without it, I would not be able to sing or perform.”

Botox is an effective way to reduce and eliminate migraines. As an alternative to current treatments, such as oral medications and painkillers, Botox can provide temporary relief from severe headaches for up to half a year. Some individuals who received injections in the forehead to reduce wrinkles also experienced relief from their migraines immediately following treatment, even though they only had the procedure done for cosmetic purposes.
Whatever the case, we hope Botox helped Kristin Chenoweth when she was a guest judge on American Idol last week!

The Octomom’s Post-Childbirth Bikini Body

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

At a time when most women are still battling post-childbirth flab, why oh why did the Octomom pose for glamour photos of herself in a bikini at the beach?

Less than a year after giving birth to 8 kids (and with a total of 14 under her belt), Nadya Suleman tipped the scales at 270 pounds. She’s now 150 pounds lighter and looks surprisingly fit in a skimpy bikini. With no traces of stretchmarks on her once enormous pregnant belly and her C-section scars hidden away, Ms. Suleman has stated that the only thing she did to get back into shape was exercise, diet and a great skincare regimen. Really?

No tummy tuck? No laser stretchmark removal? No liposuction? She must be blessed with fantastic genes!

You be the judge. Ms. Suleman graces the cover of Star Magazine’s February issue.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Mole

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Sarah Jessica Parker has finally admitted it – the signature mole on her chin didn’t just magically disappear. She got rid of it with cosmetic surgery.

For over a year, rumors have been circulating about her mole, which strangely vanished sometime in summer 2008. At the time, everyone denied reports that she had undergone cosmetic surgery. But on David Letterman just last week, the star of Sex and the City finally came clean, admitting that she got the mole removed by her physician brother-in-law. It only took her a year to ‘fess up! Though it sounds like she had it surgically removed, moles can also be minimized or eliminated with laser skin treatments, such as laser skin resurfacing and photofacial rejuvenation. However, while they are noninvasive they tend to take longer to achieve desirable results when compared to surgical methods.

Sarah Jessica Parker is 44 years old. She is married to fellow actor Matthew Broderick and has two daughters.
