Christina Hendricks Has UK’s Stamp of Approval
Monday, August 9th, 2010Actress Christina Hendricks of Mad Men has been officially endorsed by the British government – for her figure.
Hendricks, who plays secretary Joan Harris, has received the stamp of approval by the UK government for having a body that women should view as ideal. Women should perceive Hendricks’ body as a role model, rather than the bodies of other celebrities who are generally underweight with unrealistic proportions. She’s a UK size 14, which is about a 12 here (or medium), and measures about 36-32-36, with a generous bust size. Talk about curves in all the right places!
However, some are worried that such an endorsement may be fraught with problems, since even those measurements can be difficult to obtain and/or maintain. But they do agree that it is a more realistic size than that of most models and celebrities, who succeed in an industry that perpetuates the idea that the thinner you are, the more beautiful.
