Welcome November!
With no stat holidays for the entire month in Ontario, endless gray skies, and colder temperatures, November looks like it’s going to be a tough one to get through. But don’t think of it that way!
Look at November as the time to get ready for December, when holiday parties and social get togethers abound. December is a popular time to schedule cosmetic surgical procedures, and this month is perfect to start making plans in preparation for scheduled procedures.
The success of any surgical procedure not only depends on the physician performing it, but also the patient. The patient should follow pre-operative instructions as outlined by their physician, as these are set to facilitate recovery. Some instructions may include the following:
1. Stop smoking.
2. Stop taking certain medications, such as aspirin.
3. You may need to take a couple of days off. Make the necessary arrangements so work performance doesn’t suffer.
4. Arrange post-operative care for yourself.
Complete instructions will be given to you by your physician and should be followed.
It may be a full month before your scheduled surgery. However, ample time will allow you to prepare adequately.
