I’ve heard that injectable fillers like Juvederm can fill out pockmarks. Is this true?

Dr. Yaz says:
To some extent, yes. Because Juvederm is an injectable filler, it has been designed to fill in indentations that appear on the face or body much like it does for wrinkles and creases. However, the effectiveness of Juvederm in this situation really depends on several factors, including the location of the pockmark, its severity and skin type.

There is another procedure that may also be considered to remove or reduce the appearance of pockmarks. Known as Acne Scarring Removal, patients undergo a series of laser treatments with the StarLux® Pulsed Light and Laser Platform. Acne Scarring Removal can also target pockmarks that are caused by chicken pox or any other previous trauma. This provides permanent results while Juvederm is considered temporary, lasting up to a year.

During your initial consultation with TCC’s injectable fillers specialist, you’ll be able to determine what type of treatment would be best to minimize or erase the appearance of pockmarks.
