Dr. Hakes has been practicing for over 3 decades in the field of medicine, specializing in anaesthesia. Graduating from the University of Bristol in the UK, he continued his training at both the University of Bristol and the Welsh National School of Medicine in Cardiff, Wales.
After a brief stint in Boston at the Massachusetts General Hospital as a Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia, he came to Toronto and became Staff Anesthesiologist at the Wellesley Hospital.
His professional experience also includes an esteemed position as Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto’s department of anaesthesia.
