Big luscious lips have been the must have fashion accessory for well over a decade now. Achieved by make up or lip augmentation, an Angelina Jolie-style pout is the envy of most women around the world. But this wasn’t always the case.

Back in the 1940s, regular-sized lips were attractive, when coated in rich red lipstick. It was bold and drew immediate attention to the mouth.

These days, more natural hues reign over bright red.

Skin tags are small pieces of hanging skin that generally appear on the eyelids, neck, shoulders and armpits. They may also appear in the groin area. Ranging in colour from dark brown to the same shade as the rest of your skin, they may result from hormonal changes or exist due to genetics.

They are not considered harmful, but may become troublesome if they are large. Large skin tags, the size of a grape, can get caught in clothing or zippers. Skin tags can also be viewed as unattractive blemishes.

Skin tags can be effectively removed by The StarLux 500 laser. Laser removal of skin tags currently results in the least amount of scarring when compared to other forms of skin tag removal techniques.

Can Caffeine Beat Cellulite?

With the warmer months ahead, many of us will be donning shorter skirts and pants - except for those of us who don’t want to reveal their cellulite-ridden legs.

While Endermologie has been proven effective for the treatment of those dimply thighs (and deemed as a temporary solution to cellulite by the FDA), some of us may turn to those “magic lotions” and creams that are available on the market today. Many of those cellulite creams and lotions contain an ingredient that promises to reduce the appearance of cellulite: caffeine.

Yes, the same stuff in your coffee.

When topically applied to the desired area, caffeine is supposed to reduce the swelling of the areas around the fat pockets in order to make the skin appear smoother. Because caffeine also has diuretic properties, it is supposed to reduce the amount of trapped fluid in the area. However, there is currently no significant research to prove or disprove this theory. Results, if any, are normally very temporary.

We’d love to hear from you if you’ve tried one of these creams and  they’ve actually worked!
