The First Step

Monday, October 15th, 2007

Before you can begin to undergo a particular treatment at TCC, whether invasive or not, everyone must book an appointment to see our patient consultant. Our patient consultant is a medical professional who can respond to any questions you may have regarding the treatment you’d like to undergo, address any concerns you may have, and give you specific pricing. The consultation is conducted in a private and confidential setting.

This initial consultation is absolutely free. There are no strings attached! The consultation is more of a way to learn all about the procedure you’re interested in, without the pressure of signing up for it.

Before Any Surgery…

Decided to go ahead with your surgical procedure? Don’t forget to get your lab work done beforehand!

We ask all of our patients considering invasive surgery to visit a lab for blood (and urine) tests before the date of the actual procedure. Other tests may include a mammogram for women who wish to undergo breast augmentation.

Getting the tests done well before your surgery ensures that the results are returned in sufficient time so that your cosmetic surgeon will know that they can perform surgery without the likelihood of causing harm.

Cosmetic Surgery in Iran

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Cosmetic surgery is hot in Iran. From facelifts to breast augmentation, an increasing number of Iranian women are undergoing invasive and non-invasive cosmetic surgical procedures to improve or maintain aspects of  their physical appearance and appeal.

Many women are turning to cosmetic surgery to boost their self esteem and self confidence, much like here in Canada, but those undergoing breast augmentation or liposuction won’t be doing it to acquire the approval of the public eye. According to Iranian law, women must wear modest traditional garb in public which hides everything but the face and hands only.

Botox® isn’t just for wrinkles.

Health Canada has approved Botox® for several other indications. Here’s a list of what else this “miracle therapy” can help:

In Canada, Botox® was first approved to treat strabismus, the technical term for crossed eyes. Botox® has the capability of relaxing the muscles so that the condition can be corrected. Shortly afterwards, Health Canada approved its use for spasms of the eyes and face. “Wry neck”, or torticollis, as well as equinus, can also be treated with Botox®.

Always sweaty? Botox® has been approved to treat hyperhidrosis, the name for the condition of chronic sweating. Our Botox specialist can treat hyperhidrosis. For more information, please call us at 416-221-5554.
