The Right Size

Size. It's one of the most important aspects to consider when thinking about undergoing breast augmentation. Often, the size a woman wants to be after breast surgery is the first thing that they imagine. Speaking to people you trust may help give you a broader perspective on what is most suitable, however always remember that it is ultimately your decision to make. After all, it's your body and you have to live with it.

There are several factors you should consider when deciding on the right size for you.

Lifestyle

Your lifestyle is a major factor to consider when you decide on how big you'd like to go. You have activities and hobbies you enjoy doing, and will probably continue to enjoy doing after your breast augmentation. Having larger breasts may affect your ability to perform these activities, so make sure the size you want to be doesn't do that. Do you like working out frequently? Love high intensity sports? Unless you've got the perfect sports bra that provides solid support, a larger chest may just impede your performance.

Your Body

Consider your body type to determine the right size. For example, if you have a smaller frame and are thin, boasting a DD bust may look awkward and contribute to back problems in the long run. On the other hand, DDs might look fine if you are tall with a heavier build. The best results from any cosmetic surgical procedure are those that look natural, which is why you should consider your body type when determining your ideal breast size.

Most women prefer to augment their breasts to a size that is proportionate to the rest of their body, and find that this improvement is the ideal. This may involve only a minor change such as from an A to a B, or something more dramatic, like an A to a D. However, an increase of up to two cup sizes is most common.

Your Job/Career

For many of us, a large chunk of life is spent at work where we earn our livelihood. You may want a large chest, but will it get in the way while you work? Will it prevent you from completing the tasks you've been hired to do? You wouldn't want your breasts to stop you from doing your job. They may look good, but if your new and improved bustline keeps you from doing your job right, then you might want to consider going a little smaller.

You'll also discuss size with the cosmetic physician selected to perform your breast augmentation. With professional experience and medical knowledge, they'll be able to provide a perspective that can help you find the right size for you.
